Our History

Our story began in 2004 as Offshore Payroll Limited in Guernsey. From that first step, we grew into a trusted platform, recognised by businesses for our values and payroll expertise. Expansion followed into Jersey, the Isle of Man and other jurisdictions with unique tax and social rules. Supporting local businesses with the flexibility that larger providers couldn’t offer.

We became a Jersey-registered company in 2013, marking a new chapter in our company history. Another turning point came in 2020 when a local consortium run by our four directors acquired the company, investing in our people and our technology. Transforming our desktop product into one of the first SaaS payroll solutions in the offshore market. Their support gave us the resources to accelerate development and deliver faster improvements for the businesses that rely on us.

By 2021, we had launched our new cloud-based payroll software, created by our in-house developers alongside our payroll experts. It redefined how payroll should work: intuitive to use, secure by design and ready to grow with any business.

In 2025, we rebranded as Ocerli. The new name reflects a broader vision. While we remain the go-to provider for specialist jurisdictions, we also plan to serve UK businesses looking for a payroll partner that combines proven payroll expertise with a human, forward-looking approach in the near future.
